  • Senior DSP Programmer

DWC has an opening for an experienced programmer. Duties include:

• Coding in C and other languages
• Familiarity with microcontroller and DSP hardware a necessity
• Main target processor is TMS-320
• Ability to read and interpret schematics
and block diagrams

• Several years demonstratable experience.
• Experience with ICE and logic analysers.
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be able to establish and maintain productive working relations with other team members.

  • Production Manager

Responsibility for entire production operations of an twelve year old growing high-tech product-rich communications manufacturer, including in-house production and outside contract manufacturing. You will supervise the planning, management and operation of a new production facility for a growing high tech wireless communications manufacturer. The company is engineering-driven, a government supplier with customers worldwide -- this is a ground-level opportunity for tremendous future upside rewards. You will also work closely with the CEO and CFO to set budgets, hiring levels, acquire production equipment and facilities, and to report to the Board of Directors. In short, you will be creating and growing an entire department and building capacity from near scratch for a sophisticated, leading edge communications manufacturer.

MAJOR DUTIES OF POSITION:

Provide direction, guidance and management for all aspects of manufacturing and production.

1. Production planning and scheduling.
2. Purchasing.
3. Manage inventory levels.
4. Hiring and supervision of in-house production staff
5. Manage and report on all production.
6. Selection and management of outside vendors

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

At least five years experience in a similar electronic manufacturing environment. You should have strong communications skills and excellent technical writing skills. You should have sound knowledge of assembly methods, equipment, software tools and processes and sound knowledge of electronic equipment manufacturing principles. You should have experience in managing production at third party vendors, both domestically and in Taiwan and the PRC.

1. Be a proactive individual with a "can-do" attitude.
2. Have 5 years of supervisory experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
3. Have strong problem solving abilities and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
4. Be a strong leader, well organized, and able to multi-task on a daily basis.

You will be working on covert video transmission for drug enforcement surveillance, and mission critical digital land mobile radio systems. The DSP department is headed by an experienced senior DSP programmer.

You will work with industrial and government customers to solve problems and monitor their wireless network from our Network Operating Center. You will also assist in the operation of computers, routers and other networking equipment that forms a worldwide wireless network.

  • Field Service Radio Technician

We are seeking a part- or full-time field service technican to be based in the Victoria to Bay City, Texas area. From time to time some travel will be required, both in Texas and to other states. You will be maintaining a network of digital repeaters, and certain customer sets such as mobile radios, computer mapping systems and so forth. You will also be required to supervise vendors such as tower riggers in the installation of antenna systems.

  • Experience with LMR two-way systems
  • Experience with LMR base station repeaters
  • Experience with site equipment such as cavities, duplexers, etc
  • General familiarity with computers and Windows
  • Experience with service monitors, watt meters, etc.
